What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Philippe Consulting P/L collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Further details are outlined below.

Philippe Consulting P/L also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Philippe Consulting P/L only discloses user IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering Aggregated Statistics

Philippe Consulting P/L may collect non-personally identifying statistics about the behaviour of visitors to its website. Our purpose in collecting this information is to better understand how our visitors use our website. For instance, Philippe Consulting P/L may monitor which pages are most visited. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website. Philippe Consulting P/L may display this non-identified information publicly or provide it to others.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Philippe Consulting P/L collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. To be honest, we wouldn’t know how to identify you through this information, but should mention that this is picked up through the same Analytics Program that gathers aggregated data on website visits (mentioned above).

Certain visitors to the Philippe Consulting P/L website choose to interact with our Company in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. However, this is not through input of any information into our website. It would usually be by either emailing us or phoning us via contact details we provide on our website. When you contact us, the amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, those who wish to receive information via email, we collect their email address. In each case, Philippe Consulting P/L collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with us. Philippe Consulting P/L does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain activities with us.

Cookies

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Philippe Consulting P/L encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change. The most likely foreseeable changes would be related to website changes such that visitors could add comments or upload media. The potential impact of these changes are listed below.

Comments

We have not created the option to leave comments on our website. If we provide this option in the future, when visitors leave comments on the site we would collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. If we provide the ability for users to add comments, we recommend you check this privacy page for further updates.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Currently there is no ability to upload images to our site. If we make this option available, please be aware that if you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Ads

Philippe Consulting P/L does not currently have ads appear on our websites.  Should this occur in future, ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Philippe Consulting P/L and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

How long we retain your data

If we allow users to leave a comment in future, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
